Vol. 7 The Art of Ikebana and Tea: A Mother's Day Special by Forme x 1872 Clipper Tea Co

This Mother’s Day, Forme hosted an intimate ikebana-inspired floral arrangement workshop in Singapore, designed as a quiet, meaningful alternative to traditional celebrations.

In collaboration with 1872 Clipper Tea Co., the experience brought together tea, florals, and intentional time, creating a Mother’s Day workshop experience focused on connection, mindfulness, and slow living.

An Intimate Floral Arrangement Workshop Experience

Across two small-group sessions, each pair was guided through the process of creating their own ikebana-inspired floral arrangement.

Rooted in the Japanese philosophy of simplicity and balance, this floral arrangement workshop focused less on perfection and more on presence, allowing participants to slow down and create something meaningful side by side.

Each guest worked with a curated selection of seasonal florals, learning how to compose with intention, space, and natural movement.

A Take-Home Ikebana Vase for Everyday Rituals

At the heart of the session was a limited edition Forme × 1872 Clipper Tea Co. ikebana vase, created exclusively for this collaboration.

Paired with a kenzan, each arrangement was designed to be taken home, allowing guests to continue their own ikebana floral practice beyond the workshop.

A Curated Tea Experience in Singapore

Complementing the floral workshop was a 30-minute curated tea experience, featuring a selection of premium teas and thoughtfully paired pastries by 1872 Clipper Tea Co..

This portion of the session offered a natural pause, an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy a shared moment over tea.

Together, the tea and floral elements created a multi-sensory wellness experience in Singapore, centred around mindfulness and presence.

A Meaningful Way to Celebrate Mother’s Day

What made the sessions especially memorable were the different ways guests chose to experience them.

Some attended as mother and daughter pairs, celebrating Mother’s Day through shared time rather than traditional gifts. Others came as husbands and wives, marking the occasion with a thoughtful, quiet experience. There were also friends, colleagues, and mothers, gathering to reconnect and create together.

Each pairing brought its own story, but all shared the same intention, to slow down and be present with one another.

Creating Space for Slow Living in Singapore

At Forme, we believe that wellness is shaped not just by what we do, but by how we choose to spend our time.

This ikebana workshop in Singapore was created as a gentle reminder that meaningful rituals can be simple, arranging flowers, sharing tea, and allowing space for connection.
