In a fast-moving city like Singapore, moments of stillness are rare and deeply needed.
In collaboration with Alo for International Women’s Day, Forme hosted an intimate, sensory-led workshop designed to bring participants back to presence through two grounding rituals: matcha-making and ikebana-inspired floral arrangement.
Held across two sessions, the experience brought together a small group of guests to slow down, create with intention, and reconnect with calm.
A Grounding Matcha Ritual
We began the session with a guided matcha-making experience.
Participants were introduced to the process of whisking matcha, not just as a drink, but as a daily ritual. Through gentle, intentional movements, the act of preparing matcha became a way to pause and centre the mind.
Each guest crafted their own iced matcha latte and experienced how something simple can become meaningful when done with presence.

The Art of Ikebana: Creating with Intention
The second half of the workshop transitioned into a guided ikebana session, the Japanese art of floral arrangement.
Working with a soft palette of creams, soft blues and gentle yellows, participants explored balance, space, and natural flow. The process encouraged letting go of perfection and instead embracing intuition, allowing each arrangement to take its own form.
Each guest created a floral piece that reflected stillness and individuality, and brought home both their arrangement and a Forme ceramic vase exclusively designed for alo, designed with organic curves and a neutral finish to complement any space.

Wellness Through Ritual and Creation
More than a workshop, this experience was a reminder that wellness doesn’t always come from intensity, it can be found in quiet, intentional moments.
Through the dual rituals of matcha and floral arrangement, participants were invited to engage their senses, slow their pace, and create something tangible to carry forward into their daily lives.
This collaboration with Alo reflects a shared belief:
that wellness begins in the small rituals we return to, again and again.
Looking Ahead
We’re deeply grateful to the Alo team and everyone who joined us for making this experience so special.
At Forme, we continue to explore ways to bring mindful living into everyday spaces, through workshops, handcrafted ceramics, and sensory rituals designed to ground and restore.
If you’re interested in future workshops or collaborations, we’d love to hear from you.
